Your responsibilities:
- Define and execute the commercial strategy to drive sustainable growth and market expansion in the UK business, acting as overall business lead for the market
- Lead, coach, and develop the commercial team, fostering a strong performance and people-focused culture
- Strengthening existing customer relationships and actively drive new business development
- Identify market opportunities and expand the product and customer portfolio
- Own budget planning, forecasting, and overall commercial performance for the UK business
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders within the TER GROUP
- Monitor market trends, analyze performance and report to the top management
- Represent TER (UK) in the market and at relevant industry events
- Work closely with international counterparts to further develop the business and contribute to broader initiatives
Your profile:
- Degree in Chemistry, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong commercial background in B2B sales or procurement within chemicals, ideally in distribution or specialty chemicals
- Industry experience in paint & coatings, adhesives, construction chemicals, or similar is highly desirable
- Proven track record in leading, developing, and motivating teams in a market-facing leadership role (e.g. Country Manager, Business Line Lead or similar)
- Strong and consistent leadership style with clear decision-making and accountability
- Ability to build structure and drive commercial focus in a developing environment
- Demonstrated success in driving growth and building customer relationships in competitive markets
- Entrepreneurial, strategic mindset with a hands-on approach
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data, forecasts, and KPIs
